සිංහල බෞද්ධයන් ජාතිවාදීන් ද? ආගම්වාදීන් ද? (Sinhala Buddhists living in Sri Lanka are racists and religious extremists?)

වසර දස දහස් ගණනක උදාර ඉතිහාසයක් ඇති තම ජාතිය, තමට හිමි සංස්කෘතිය හා අන් සියලු ආගම් හෙලා නොදකිනා අවිහිංසාවාදී බුදුදහම වෙත එල්ලවී ඇති බලපෑම් සම්බන්දයෙන් සිංහල බෞද්ධයා තමුන්ගේ රටතුල දී ම කතා කළ විට පමණක් එය ජාතිවාදී හා ආගම්වාදී වන්නේ කෙසේද?


සිංහල නොවනා නොයෙක් ජාතිකයන් හා බෞද්ධ නොවනා බොහෝ ආගම් අතීතයේ සිරි ලංකාවට ගොඩබසිකොට 'ඒ අයද අපි වගේම මිනිසුන් කියලා හිතලා සාදරයෙන් පිළිගත් සිංහල කියන වටිනා ජාතියක් හා අනෙක් අයගේ ආගම් ද ඉවසා සිටි බුදුදහම නම් අහිංසාවාදී දහමක්' මේ රටේ නොතිබුනා නම්, අද සිංහල බෞද්ධයා විඳිනා කරදර කිසිවක් විඳින්නට ඔවුන්ට සිදු වන්නේ නැත. තමන් උපන් රටේම තම රට ගැන, සංස්කෘතිය ගැන, දහම ගැන කතා කිරීම නිසා ආගාම්වාදීයෝ හා ජාතිවාදියෝ කියා මුල අමතක කරපු වෙනත් ජාතිකයන්ගෙන් හා ආගම් වලින් අසන්නට ද ඔවුන්ට සිදු වන්නේ නැත.


If not for the presence of a great nationality called Sinhalese in Siri Lanka who welcomed all foreign nations to their motherland & treated them as human beings and a doctrine called Buddhism based on loving kindness which honored other religions with high respects, Sinhala Buddhists living today will not have to suffer as they experience today. And they will not be labeled as racists and religious extremists for raising their voice for their motherland, culture & Buddhism by the other nationalities and religions who are not bothered to think about their history.
