Across the history, there are numerous instances where Buddha's teachings and Buddhist traditions had been altered and robbed by other religions (nothing else of this subject is not written here as it leads to a lengthier note). But not a looting, an insult of this nature !!!.
This person insults his own religion. He lies to people by telling something which is not taught by his own religion.
He does not show any hesitation to play the role of a liar by altering and modifying the non-theistic Buddha's teaching, in fact, it is 'a way of life'.
What does this person know about Maithriya Buddha - the Buddha to be in the future?
What does this person know about Bodhisatta - the Buddha aspirant?
What is his urge to modify Buddha's teachings? Why does he insult Buddha's teaching? Does he have any hidden agendas?
Is it because he is well aware that no any Buddhist will take his head? Is it because this person knows that Buddhist (OR THE BUDDHA HIMSELF) will not attend to do something of that nature even for any betterment of the doctrine?
Does he believe that Buddhists will consider something of that nature as a cheap action which is not pleased by them?
The Buddhists are the only group of disciples who do not have blood in their hands in the process of propaganda of their doctrine (if anyone interested in that, please read the respective literature). The Buddhists have shown their tolerance, loving kindness even when their monasteries, Buddhist canon, Buddhist monks and lay Buddhists were destroyed and tortured by the sword and the gun. It is evident that this person is enlightened on that matter as well.
He has read Buddha's teachings, it seems. But, it is evident, he had made that effort to find something which in return can be used by him for his own benefit and not the sacred value of the real teachings of the Buddha. He alters, destroys and insults a sacred doctrine which was preached even prior to thousand years of his own religious leader and by doing so he insults his own leader.
What would be the consequence, if something of this nature to his own religion is done by a Buddhist monk or a lay Buddhist?
It is not the belief of the Buddhists of a God who punishes. Then, what else is possible, other than the practicing tolerance, to a person of this nature who insults the teachings of the Buddha?
